Villa Kerylos
A palace inspired by ancient Greece on the French Riviera
CLOSED FROM 22th OF DECEMBER 2025
On the peninsula of Baie des Fourmis in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Théodore Reinach chose a location close to the ancient Greek port of Anao for his home. The style was inspired by a Greek house in Delos, dating from between the second half of the 2nd century and the beginning of the 1st century BC.
Designed on the model of the noble houses of the island of Delos in the 2nd century BC, Villa Kérylos is an invitation to travel to the heart of Greek antiquity. Everything, from the layout of the spaces to the refinement of the decoration, was designed with the aim of recreating the atmosphere of a luxurious Greek villa.
Like other Mediterranean dwellings, Villa Kérylos is organised around a peristyle, a large central courtyard surrounded by twelve monolithic columns of white Carrara marble. Fully furnished, the Villa recreates the refined decoration of ancient Greek palaces down to the smallest detail. The elegantly refined furniture is one of its most remarkable features.
Surrounding the villa, the garden offers a splendid view of the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat peninsula and its magnificent residences. It features a harmonious selection of Greek vegetation: olive trees and vines, pomegranate trees, carob trees, acanthus and myrtle, oleander and iris, pine and cypress trees, palm trees and papyrus recreate the Greek atmosphere under the Côte d’Azur sun.
